Volodymyr Drahan is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, engineering executive, and technology innovator specializing in irrigation systems, water infrastructure, environmental solutions, and resource optimization technologies.
Born on August 13, 1987, in Zhytomyr Region, Ukraine, Drahan developed an early interest in leadership, discipline, and operational excellence through competitive sports and public service. As a youth athlete, he became a Ukrainian football champion and later competed in regional championships and national futsal leagues.
Following his service in the Presidential Regiment Honor Guard of Ukraine, Drahan began his entrepreneurial career in wholesale trade before moving into engineering solutions, business development, and operational management.
Between 2011 and 2022, he held a series of leadership positions within Ukrainian engineering and infrastructure companies, overseeing regional expansion, logistics operations, technical consulting, sales management, and business development. During this period, he managed multidisciplinary teams, launched regional divisions, and implemented engineering solutions for commercial and industrial clients across Ukraine.
Over more than a decade of professional activity, Drahan has worked with water supply systems, irrigation infrastructure, process automation, drainage solutions, erosion control systems, and resource-efficiency technologies. His work has focused on helping organizations improve operational performance through practical engineering and infrastructure innovation.
To strengthen his executive and management capabilities, he completed professional education programs at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School (Pre-MBA), MIM-Kyiv, and additional programs in leadership, finance, management, and business development.
In 2022, after relocating to the United States, Drahan founded GreenPlace Inc. in California. The company specializes in landscape construction, irrigation systems, drainage infrastructure, retaining walls, erosion control solutions, and integrated engineering projects for residential and commercial properties. Since its establishment, GreenPlace has completed more than 100 projects throughout Southern California.
Recognizing growing challenges related to water efficiency, fertilizer utilization, and environmental sustainability, Drahan co-founded GreenMix Nutrition, an engineering and agri-technology startup focused on automated fertigation technologies. The company develops solutions that integrate irrigation infrastructure, software, automation, and sustainable resource management.
In 2026, Drahan became a co-inventor of a patented automated fertilizer injection system designed to improve nutrient delivery efficiency while reducing fertilizer waste and environmental impact. The technology has received patent protection in Ukraine and is currently undergoing international patent protection procedures through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) system.
A significant portion of Drahan's work focuses on addressing environmental and infrastructure challenges associated with modern agriculture and urban landscapes. His projects explore solutions for recycled water utilization, soil salinity mitigation, nutrient runoff reduction, water conservation, and sustainable irrigation management.
In addition to his entrepreneurial and engineering activities, Drahan contributes to professional discussions through publications and industry commentary focused on engineering systems optimization, infrastructure innovation, irrigation technologies, environmental sustainability, and agri-tech development.
