Dmytro Oltarzhevskyi is Professor and Head of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Journalism, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine).
He holds a Doctor of Sciences degree in Social Communications and has more than twenty years of academic, research, and professional experience in public relations. His research focuses on corporate communications, crisis communication, stakeholder relations, public relations theory and history, communication measurement and evaluation, digital innovation, and the impact of emerging technologies on communication practice.
Professor Oltarzhevskyi is the author of numerous scholarly publications in leading international and Ukrainian peer-reviewed journals. In 2025, he co-authored the book Understanding Corporate Communications (Taylor & Francis). In 2026, he contributed a chapter entitled "Ukraine: Wartime Crisis Communication: A Weapon Against 'Death by a Thousand Cuts'" to the edited volume Global Cases in Crisis Communication: A Socio-Cultural Approach, edited by Krishnamurthy Sriramesh.
He actively participates in international research and educational projects and regularly delivers lectures at universities, academic conferences, and professional forums across Europe.
