The Swedish construction group added $351 million in new project wins while beginning work on a fourth educational facility worth $67 million.
Stockholm-based general contractor Skanska has expanded its institutional building portfolio by securing and commencing work on four educational facility projects with a total combined value of $418 million.
The international builder finalized three distinct contract wins carrying a collective financial value of $351 million. The scope of work across these project awards includes constructing new academic facilities, updating existing campus utilities, and expanding specialized learning infrastructure.
Concurrent with the three new project wins, Skanska has initiated ground operations on a fourth educational development valued at $67 million. Active site preparation and foundation work for this facility are currently underway following the project's formal transition into the active construction phase.
The influx of educational contracts highlights continued resilience within the institutional construction segment. Capital spending on public and private educational infrastructure has maintained project volume for prime contractors even as commercial office development experiences broader market headwinds.
Skanska confirmed that the contract values for the newly awarded projects will be booked into its order backlog during the current financial quarter. The project timelines across all four developments will span multiple construction phases over the coming years.
The contracts further solidify the group's position as a primary contractor for large-scale public and private educational facilities across its core operating regions.
