Netflix Expands November Streaming Catalog With Feature Film Additions
The streaming platform is scheduling a mix of original productions, award-winning dramas, and catalog comedy titles throughout the month of November.
LOS ANGELES — Netflix will expand its streaming catalog in November with a selection of acquired feature films, original war dramas, and recent theatrical releases, according to the platform's upcoming content schedule. The additions begin Nov. 1 with a lineup of prominent studio titles.
Initial early-month releases include the 1997 action film "Air Force One," starring Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman, alongside the 1993 thriller "Cliffhanger" featuring Sylvester Stallone. The 1989 comedy classic "Weekend at Bernie's" and Damien Chazelle’s Oscar-winning 2014 drama "Whiplash," starring Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons, will also be made available on Nov. 1.
Mid-month updates feature the streaming arrival of the summer horror title "Obsession" on Nov. 17. The film, directed by Curry Barker and starring Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette, centers on a dark supernatural premise involving a romantic wish.
On Nov. 25, the service will premiere its original feature film "The Mosquito Bowl," directed by Peter Berg. Based on the non-fiction book by Buzz Bissinger, the wartime drama portrays college football stars serving in the U.S. Marine Corps ahead of the Battle of Okinawa. The ensemble cast includes Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Galitzine, Ray Nicholson, and Pat McAfee.
The slate of November releases will wrap up on Nov. 30 with the addition of "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," an animated feature starring voice talent Chris Pratt and Charlie Day.
