The professional networking platform introduces direct booking and billing tools tailored for independent consultants, coaches, and content creators.
LinkedIn has launched direct payment features on its platform, allowing members to conduct financial transactions with one another for professional services such as consulting, coaching, and digital content creation. The move marks the first time the network has enabled direct peer-to-peer commerce within its interface.
The rollout introduces three specialized tools designed specifically for independent workers and solopreneurs. These tools allow service providers to establish dedicated booking pages, outline hourly rates or flat project fees, and collect payments from clients upon booking or task completion.
Under the new architecture, professionals can integrate payment processing setups to manage transactions, issue invoices, and process payouts without directing clients to external websites. The system accommodates payment processing for single appointments, multi-session packages, and specialized content access.
The expansion targets business consultants, executive coaches, and freelance professionals who utilize the platform for client acquisition. Prior to the integration, members were required to handle scheduling and financial transactions through external third-party software.
User account dashboards have been updated to include an overview for tracking prospective client inquiries, pending appointments, and cleared payouts. The transaction functionality is currently rolling out to eligible account holders in select markets before a wider global release.
