Japanese Beauty Brand Decorté Expands US Retail Footprint Through Ulta

Japanese prestige skincare brand Decorté announced plans to significantly expand its commercial footprint in the United States through a new retail partnership with Ulta Beauty. Beginning Nov. 2, the brand will introduce its signature Liposome skincare collection across 400 Ulta Beauty store locations nationwide and through the retailer's e-commerce platform.

The expansion represents a key strategic move for the Tokyo-based cosmetics manufacturer as it seeks to scale its presence in the competitive American beauty sector. Previously, Decorté maintained a selective distribution model within the U.S. market, relying primarily on luxury department stores, boutique outlets, and direct-to-consumer digital channels.

The Liposome collection is built around the brand's proprietary micro-capsule delivery technology, which is engineered to release active ingredients gradually into the skin over extended periods. The introductory product assortment at Ulta Beauty will include the line's flagship hydrating serums, targeted eye creams, and restorative moisturizers.

The distribution deal highlights ongoing demand among North American consumers for Japanese beauty products, a category characterized by dermatological innovation and gentle formulation standards. The retail agreement allows Decorté to reach a wider demographic of beauty shoppers across diverse regional markets.

Financial terms of the distribution agreement were not disclosed by either company. The physical and online retail launches are scheduled to begin simultaneously at the start of November.
