Google Launches Live NFL Feed and Expanded Sports Stats in Mobile Search

Google has introduced real-time NFL updates, play-by-play tracking, and AI-powered insights for mobile search users as the regular season kicks off.

Google announced Thursday the launch of a new Live Game Feed feature within its mobile search platform, delivering real-time updates and interactive tracking for National Football League games as the regular season begins.

The interface update highlights ongoing matchups with a prominent red "Live" indicator in search results. Upon selecting the feed, mobile users can access a consolidated view containing game recaps, play-by-play updates, video highlights, curated social media commentary, and artificial intelligence-powered insights.

In addition to the dedicated match feeds, the search engine is introducing an updated carousel module for mobile devices. This component enables users to quickly browse through live scores and game statuses across multiple active contests from a single screen.

Google has also expanded its sports statistics tracking capabilities. The updated database displays real-time league and game leaderboards for key performance metrics, including passing touchdowns, rushing yards, and receiving totals during active play.

The Live Game Feed features are available immediately for English-language search queries on mobile web browsers and the official Google application. The company stated that expansion plans include coverage for college football games and support for additional international languages before the end of the month.
