Forza Horizon 6 PlayStation 5 Launch Delayed to January 2027

Playground Games has postponed the PlayStation 5 release of Forza Horizon 6 to Jan. 26, 2027, aligning it with a new content expansion.
Developer Playground Games has officially postponed the PlayStation 5 launch of its racing title Forza Horizon 6, moving the game's platform debut to Jan. 26, 2027. The title was previously scheduled to arrive on Sony's console in 2026 following an initial announcement earlier this year.
The revised timeline means the PlayStation 5 launch will now coincide directly with the arrival of a major new content expansion. That expansion is scheduled to release simultaneously across all available platforms, including PC and Xbox systems, on the same date in January.
Forza Horizon 6 first debuted on Xbox consoles and PC on May 15. The delayed PlayStation 5 version represents a broader effort to bring the popular open-world racing series to additional hardware platforms following its initial launch window.
In addition to the revised release date, Playground Games confirmed plans to offer a Premium Edition for the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Purchasers of the Premium Edition will gain up to five days of early access prior to the global release on Jan. 26.
Further technical specifications and purchasing options for the upcoming PlayStation 5 release and the accompanying expansion pack are expected to be detailed by the developer closer to the updated launch date.
