Palm Beach International Airport has officially adopted its new name and updated its flight code to DJT as part of a $5.5 million project.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Florida's primary aviation hub in Palm Beach County has officially completed its operational transition to President Donald J. Trump International Airport. Following an official name change enacted earlier this summer, the facility's International Air Transport Association code formally shifted from "PBI" to "DJT" for ticketing, baggage tracking, and flight display systems.

The comprehensive rebranding project carries an estimated total cost of $5.5 million. Expenses cover new exterior entryway signage, updated interior facility branding, presidential seal installations, and municipal system modifications. State funding is financing $2.75 million of the total, with local aviation authorities seeking additional funding sources to cover the remaining balance.

The renaming initiative stems from state legislation signed into law by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on March 30. Installation crews began replacing highway and terminal entrance signs in early July, leading up to the official public debut of the renamed facility.

Addressing the ongoing operational shift, airport administrators issued a statement confirming that core aviation activities and security procedures remain fully functional. Authorities acknowledged that while administrative changes are being implemented in phases, the facility maintains its focus on standard passenger services and operational safety.

The airport update marks the first time a major commercial airport has been renamed for a sitting president. Officials expect routine administrative adjustments to continue as commercial air carriers and global travel reservation systems complete updates to the new airport identification code.
