Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square Reopens as Brand Flagship

IHG Hotels & Resorts has reopened the 685-room Manhattan property following a multiyear renovation to serve as Crowne Plaza's flagship location in the Americas.

NEW YORK — IHG Hotels & Resorts has officially reopened the Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square following an extensive multiyear renovation. The 685-room hotel now operates as the flagship location for the Crowne Plaza brand in the Americas region, showcasing refreshed guest accommodations and updated public spaces.

Located in central Midtown Manhattan, the redesigned property features modernized guest rooms, updated meeting facilities, and revised food and beverage venues tailored for business and leisure travelers. The overhaul represents a significant re-investment in one of the brand's primary urban assets.

The property had previously closed for the multi-phase redevelopment project, which focused on upgrading technology infrastructure, modernizing guest room layouts, and enhancing common areas. The redesign incorporates dedicated work spaces and private gathering areas to cater to modern corporate travel needs.

As the brand's regional flagship, the Times Square location is expected to serve as a model for future Crowne Plaza designs and operational standards across North and South America. IHG oversees thousands of hotels globally across several distinct hospitality brands.

Hospitality sector operations in major metropolitan markets continue to see capital investment aimed at capturing returning business travel and international tourism. The reopened property is now fully operational and accepting reservations.
