Anthropic Adds Document and Presentation Tools to Claude Platform

Anthropic has introduced built-in document and presentation tools for Claude while consolidating its workspace features into a single interface.

Artificial intelligence developer Anthropic has launched two new productivity tools for its Claude platform, introducing native support for document creation and slide presentations directly within conversational chat interfaces.

The tools, designated as Docs and Slides, allow users to generate fully formatted written content and visual presentations using natural language prompts. Users can inspect and edit the generated materials within the platform, export completed files into external formats, and share the documents directly with other users for collaborative work.

Alongside the feature rollout, Anthropic redesigned the user interface to merge distinct workspace modes into a unified environment. Previously separate features, including standard conversation chats and specialized Cowork options, have been consolidated so all platform tools remain accessible from any active conversation thread.

As part of the structural update, existing capabilities including Artifacts and Claude Design are now globally available across the single interface. The company stated that the underlying platform can dynamically evaluate the requirements of a user request and automatically deploy relevant design or collaboration features based on conversation context.

The update aims to streamline user workflows by removing the requirement to select specific operational modes before starting complex tasks. The new tools and unified interface are being rolled out across the platform's service tiers immediately.
