Acer Unveils Swift Blade 14 Laptop Weighing Under Two Pounds

Acer has announced the Swift Blade 14, an ultra-lightweight productivity laptop featuring a carbon fiber chassis and Intel Wildcat Lake processors.

Acer has unveiled the Swift Blade 14, introducing an ultra-lightweight notebook aimed at the premium portable computing market. The new productivity laptop weighs 1.76 pounds (799 grams) and features a chassis measuring 0.51 inches (12.95 millimeters) thick, positioning it among the lightest laptops in its class.

The device's reduced mass is achieved through the use of carbon fiber materials integrated into both the top lid and bottom plate. This structural approach allows the frame to remain rigid while substantially cutting total weight compared to traditional aluminum construction.

Internal hardware options center around Intel’s Wildcat Lake processor lineup. Acer plans to offer multiple configurations for the laptop, ranging from an entry-level five-core processor to higher-performance variants intended to manage everyday enterprise and consumer tasks.

The Swift Blade 14 directly targets competing ultraportables such as Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air. While Acer’s model is roughly 1.7 millimeters thicker than Apple’s flagship thin notebook, the Swift Blade 14 weighs nearly a full pound lighter.

The manufacturer confirmed that the laptop will launch in two color variants, termed marshmallow blue and marshmallow white. Pricing details and market availability dates across global regions are scheduled to be released in subsequent announcement phases.
